Our motorbike delivery service can take bikes to some major race events. But there is no occasion in the calendar that is bigger than the TT Races on the Isle of Man.
This year’s races concluded last month, with the roads of the island once again becoming a racetrack for some of the most elite riders and their machines.
Because most of the riders will not be based on the island to begin with, using a motorbike delivery service will be essential to get their high-powered machines to the start line.
How Do Motorbikes Get From The Mainland To The TT Races?
As ever, the bike will be carried safely in a specialised van, with the obvious difference between this and many other races being that the van will then board a ferry to make the crossing to the island. Racers are given a cash allowance to help with this.
The types of machines that are taken to the island every year are some of the most elite and powerful machines on the road:
- The Premier Class Superbike TT race features the likes of the Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Kawasaki ZX-10R and Ducati V4 R, all 1000 CC or 1200 CC bikes
- Superstock TT production based 1000s, such as the Honda CBR1000RR-R and the Yamaha R1
- Supersport TT (600 CC middleweight bikes), such as the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS and the Kawasaki ZX-6R 636
- Supertwin TT (650-700 CC bikes) such as the Aprilia RS 660 and Yamaha R7
- Purpose-built Sidecar TT machines
The Premier Class bikes also feature in the Senior TT race, the biggest (and usually last) race of the whole event.
If your bike is in one of these categories and you need to get it safely to a major event, be it on an island in the Irish Sea or anywhere on the British mainland, our delivery service can get your bike to wherever it needs to go.
